Tattoos by Scott White
Scott began tattooing in 1997 under the instruction of Mike “Pooch” Pucciarelli. He’s been working at Altered State Tattoo ever since, creating one of a kind, custom tattoos on a daily basis. When asked about his artistic influences he says “Ever since the beginning of my career, I’ve been drawn to the works of H.R. Giger, Michael Whelan, & Dan Seagrave, who are all painters. I’m also influenced by Graffiti, car culture, & sci-fi. Movies are a huge influence. When I saw Star Wars as a child, it changed my life. At such a young age I saw something so fantastic that it’s stuck with me to this day. The biomechanical tattoos I draw are heavily inspired by the ideals of biomechanical pioneer H.R. Giger. I actually got to go to his museum in Switzerland and see his works in person!” With the advent of Instagram, I’m inspired by amazing new artists every day. I see a great community developing with the formation of the “biomech collective” on Instagram. I’ve also noticed forward thinking individuals sharing their use of digital media in tattooing, as well as free sharing of information, resulting in the overall elevation of the skills and quality of modern tattooing.” Scott specializes in Biomechanical tattoos, dotwork & mandala tattoos, Celtic, as well as Graffiti, black & grey, & bold new school color tattoos.
